NOOOOOOO HONEY!!!!
So here's the culprit (playing our new piano we got for free) and wearing Emerson's pants before going to preschool today. This kid really could care less............as you can see.
Why not?.........27 weeks
So my super crafy I-majored-in-Home-Ec. friend posted the following on her blog.....and I decided I HAD to do it. Although it would seem like a bad deal, me doing 5 to receive 1.......you just have to know my friend Rachel, she can do anything, and I decided to take my chances.
Here is the deal: The first five people to comment on this post will get something made by me.
My choice.
For you. This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:
1- I make no guarantees that you will like what I make.
2- What I create will be just for you.
3- It'll be done this year.
4- You have no clue what it's going to be. It may be a story. It may be photography or an article on properly cleaning your face before a masque. I may sew or paint something. I may bake you something and mail it to you. Who knows? Not you, that's for sure!
5- I reserve the right to do something extremely strange. The catch? Oh, the catch is that you must re-post this on your own blog and offer the same deal to 5 of your own lucky blog readers. So, the first 5 people to leave a comment telling me they are in, win a FAB-U-LOUS homemade gift by me!

Blushing Buttercream Pettiskirt GIVEAWAY!!!!
Blushing Buttercream Pettiskirt GIVEAWAY!!!!
Why not? Aleeya would love it....one day! They are just so cute!!!!
Why not? Aleeya would love it....one day! They are just so cute!!!!
Yes, I'm still here......
Wow, so it’s been a while, camera-less, but life isn’t any less exciting, so here’s a few of my random thoughts/events....because afterall, it IS my blog, right?
-On Saturday I took one for the team. My FIL gave me a gift certificate to Olive Garden for V-day which can also be used at Red Lobster. (Those of you who know me can laugh now since you should KNOW I don’t DO seafood, the smell, or even in the near vicinity....pregnant or not!) But poor Brooks LOVES the stuff and I DID wake up with a stuffy nose, so I thought I wouldn’t smell everything there. We went to the mall, got a smoothie (lost a $20 bill in the sea of honest people there), did some returns then had a quick stop at Red Lobster.....as quick as a Saturday night in a city where everyone eats out can be. I got a steak and mashed potatoes, which I would’ve been happy with just mashed potatoes ANYWHERE. There were good, but the BEST part was seeing Brooks’ face as he ate the crab legs! He was in heaven (after we watched the guy at the table next to us to see how Brooks was supposed to eat them)! And no, I didn’t even get sick AND I ate the part of my steak that touched the crab leg.....progress, progress!!! My kids tried the leftovers at home and they LOVED the crab legs. Okay, I’m seriously depriving my kids, I’m thinkin.
- I’m 26 weeks (as of last Friday) and have been keeping track of my weight pretty closely since I’ve been LOVING the 3 pound bag of swedish fish my sister sent me. It was funny to me when 2 days in a row now I weigh 2 pounds over then the weight I was when I got married. That could only mean 2 things: 1) I was a whale when I got married, or 2) the weight now on my belly has only passed the weight lost in my chest (from past babies) by 2 pounds.
- Yesterday Bronson ran in and told me Camden said the "F-word"!!! I’m sure you know what I thought of first, but don’t worry, Camden told me later he would no longer say "fart".
-Sacrament meeting yesterday was a joke at church. For some reason the kids couldn’t hold still and Aleeya couldn’t talk quietly and Emerson couldn’t get over his mom-crush of not wanting to sit on my lap (Aleeya was already there and Camden and Bronson on both sides.....not to mention baby in tow). Normally we never have to take our kids out. Get this, THREE times!!! So Brooks has the message tonight for family home evening and guess where we’re going with Brooks’ church key....yep, you guessed it, we’re going to practice at the church on how to act during sacrament meeting. Sounds like fun, huh.
-We conned some kidless suckers to come sit at our home while I got to go watch Brooks' intramural basketball game at 9:00pm last week. The kids were asleep, so I really needed a warm body here and I found one! YAY! It was sooooo fun. I used to always take all the kids to intramural games in Johnson City, but it's not like I really got to watch, if you know what I mean. I just sat there with a smile on my face remembering all those days in our dating/pre-marriage life and newlywedom! I still remembering watching Brooks when we were dating, and how he would wipe the bottoms of his shoes.....apparently for traction, how his calf muscles would bulge and how he would constantly smile and talk/sweet talk the refs, etc..........Ahhhhh, it was fun to go back down memory lane!
- I found Bronson this morning stuffing his feet into shoes 2 sizes too small. Yes, he DID get them in, but it created a few bumps towards his toes. I asked why he just didn’t wear his Spiderman shoes he got at the first of the school year and he told me the kids at school told him they are looking "viejo" (old) and that he wears them everyday. (I’m thinking, "So, Daddy wears the same clothes to work everyday....and it’s awesome ‘cause it saves on laundry"). He has another pair of older shoes from last summer (Transformers) that still fit him as well, so in the past he says he "zig-zag wears them" (meaning every other day). That way, he’s not wearing the same shoes everyday. Brooks had the whole We-shouldn’t-care-what-people-think talk with him last week already..... phew, I’m glad it stuck.
-On Saturday I planted 5 year old grape vines, 3 raspberry plants and 25 strawberries. I know you’re thinking it’s too early, right? I got these online (Stark brothers) and so they need 3-6 weeks in the soil to get used to it before it really gets warm. But it made me sooooo excited to start planting veggies soon and for the spring weather! All I can say is BRING IT ON!

Seriously?!?! Are you kidding me?!!?
Sooooo, my camera is broken! Are you kidding me?!!? We've had the best pictures of the boys on the roof (helping Brooks clean the chimney) and playing in upper 60 degree weather outside, Sally's AWESOME haircut....to name a few. When I put on the antlers on the boys we made this morning (mounted on cereal boxes then a headband....seriously they look so funny and they really think they're deer) and didn't have my camera, I almost cried.
BECAUSE I can't post new pictures, I decided to post an oldie
But it's a goodie too, don't you agree? Looking at this picture I still don't understand why many of you are asking me why I want more children! Doesn't this explain enough? And won't Aleeya just KILL me one day when she's older for taking this and then explaining to her fiance that she had projectile poop like a rocket when she was 2 months old? Camera or no camera, I say this was worth posting.

How could I forget.....
SNOW DAY!!! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?!?!?
I know, I know, MIRACLES NEVER CEASE! This is about 5:00 pm I guess and the flakes were actually huge! (This was last Monday)
By the time we ate dinner, Brooks had me bundle up all the kids so HE could go out and frolic with them for a while (2 reasons I was reminded I don't much care for snow: 1) getting kids bundled up, more clothes to wash, puddles by the door, etc., and 2) it's COOOOLD!) My poor kids have coats, but that's about it. Thanks to their bear Halloween costumes they had gloves/claws and here's Aleeya with socks on her hands to keep them warm. (Notice the wet knees)
Our FIRST Snowman!!!! Okay, I'm laughing now because my SIL, Jodi just posted a picture of this HUGE snowman they built in Utah, and this looks like mini-me of that one with not as cute assesories (our's must be a boy) and definitely not as big. The boys were soooo proud of it. As you can see, it took about all the snow in the front yard.
I DID change my attitude about the cold and made them all hot chocolate (Brooks had his spiced cider) for when they came in. We learned our cookie sheet does NOT work as a sled and Bronson learned a new phrase......"white-washing". Classic.
The best part about it is, we enjoyed it for the day and come this weekend it should be back up in the 60s. So the boys got their cold, snow day from school, but I get my warm weekends to get stuff down outside! PERFECT!
Big Girl Bed!
Hair ISSUES!
So I have a princess....yes, with HAIR ISSUES (don't we all). But after getting her ready for church on Sunday I realized if this is long enough to stick out so far, it's long enough to ATTEMPT something with.
I COULDN'T believe when I could get it in a barrett on the side (since the front of her hair is the shortest. So I got some curlers (the sexy modeling
picture below). As the other picture shows, I have some practice to do
with those wide and crazy things, but at least it's possible now!!!!

Yummmmmy

I figured this is becoming mostly about Brooks! So back to me and the baby with 2 things that are just YUUUUUUMY to us right now. First of all, anyone who knows me knows I've always had a thing for "sugar water" (I know you're questioning how well you know me....), whether it be juice, pop or "bubbly" as I call it, or whatever. So I found this Aquafina RASPBERRY (has to be that kind) that is sooooo yummy to me and I don't have to feel guilty. I have to discipline myself to one a day, but you can bet I cherish every swig. Now most other things taste too sweet to me.....even Brooks' Crystal light mixes you throw in a water bottle. Don't get me wrong though, I would DEFINITELY take bubbly or V-8 Splash, etc. anytime, I'm just slowly weaning myself.
Oh, and you can NEVER go wrong with MILK chocolate covered almonds. Pregnant or not, always a winner when I need a quick fix (although "Biggest Loser" says I should grab a Yoplait or a piece of Extra Long-lasting Sugar-free gum........whatever).
Pinewood Derby
men folk made pinewood derby cars.... the best part was that there weren't ANY rules to follow. Brooks came home with tales of the coolest and most creative ideas people had. But here's what Brooks went with. The derby car, painted by the boys attached with a rubber band to a remote control car. Pretty ingenious if you ask me......
the problem?!?! Well, before the race started the derby car fell off the remote control car so it never raced. Oh well, there's always next year and I'm sure all the men are already thinking of their next year's creation. The plus? Well, the boys LOVE the car and Bronson even took it to school for show-n-tell.
