We finally made it to Myrtle Beach obviously a little later then we had wanted. And when we arrived there was just so much to do to get settled!!!!
Oh wait, nevermind, my in-laws got there first and had dinner all ready, all the beds made and everything put away. The only thing that was needed was a little personal touch. (By the end of the trip this is how our walls looked)
After eating Grandma's yummy dinner we headed to the beach before it was going to get too dark.
The first few days at the beach were actually kinda chilly. Not the water (it's fine if you stayed in it) but it was perfect FALL weather and with the wind it was just no fun to get in the water and hang out on the beach after.
Brrrrrr.
The wind was so strong I kept thinking it was funny when the kids would hold the boogieboards and they would go flying up in the air. Poor Royce was dragged by one for a few feet because of the wind.
Kellyn was NOT a fan of the water/sand combo. She was fine on the packed sand part but as soon as her feet got wet and they started sinking in the sand I think it freaked her out a little.
If you'll notice most of us adults (except Brooks) were NOT about to get into swimsuits on these first breezy days. Grandma and RA much preferred to sit and watch Brooks and Bronson get hammered by the waves.
I love these ladies.
This angel face kept trying his hand at "surfing"
He would just sit and wait for a wave to come that would barely lift up his board and he would try to balance on it......most of the time w/o success..........but he kept doing it over and over.
These girls.....
they are such social little things that they even convinced this girl they just met to pull them through a little water canal thing over and over again. The poor girl probably went home sore.
Walkin with Grandma
Camden sure loves the beach.........but he's like me, it's no fun when there is a breeze and you're wet.
One of probably the BIGGEST highlights for my kids was the fact that Brooks rented a golf cart. We only lived less then a block from the beach so it's not like it was a need but it was still fun to ride in it all over the resort, over to the duck pond, the pool, the playground, etc.
I looked back and saw this sweet tender moment........aren't siblings the best?

So fun! Too bad the weather was already too chilly to really enjoy the beach :(. No matter the weather tho, I know you had a great time with fam!
I love that you guys rented a golf cart. Too bad it was cool the first couple of days. You look great! What a fun family vacation.
