Yummy, or not so yummy breakfast
Yesterday morning Bronson didn't have school so I stayed in bed a little longer (okay, until 6:30) and was awakened by a big ol' tupperware of leftover spaghetti right by my face. (Not exactly the first smell I want in the morning when pregnant). Emerson told me that's what he wanted for breakfast...............Why not, right? Afterall, it was probably healthier then what I was making. He IS the noodle man though. And once again, he asked for it this morning (2 BOWLS!!!!). This kid is soooooo funny.

Baby #5
Here's what I think is a girl and what the rest of the house thinks is a boy. :) No, we didn't find out the gender, but everything is perfect and that's even better.
This picture below made me laugh with the legs up by the nose and the cute bum sticking out on the left! The feet are sooooo skinny and long. The ultrasonographer couldn't even believe it.
Evolution of the Pinatas

After making the requested "Daddy deer" pinata this year it made me think of all the other specific and detailed requests over the years. So here they are (pinatas start when they turn 2 and they tell ME what they want.....it's a creative challenge for me). Starting with the elephant, dinosaur, lion, Mammoth ("Manny" on Ice Age), shark, Optimus Prime (Transformer), "Nemo", rhino, and the Daddy deer.
Emerson is already asking me to start making his pinata (his b-day is in April). It's funny how excited they get and they think this is what the birthday is ALL about.......I guess it is.
HAPPY 6th BRONSON!!!!
So my oldest is 6 years old!!! He was so excited about it all. He picked the cake and cupcakes and pinata. Then a week-ish before he said, "I wonder who is coming to my party" (so confession: I wasn't PLANNING on inviting anyone). I asked him, who do you WANT to come? And he said Abby (7 yrs), Izzy (9 yrs) and Christopher (7 years). It was funny to me because he has so many kids his age around here, but that's who he wanted, so that's who he got. :)
(the kid the the shirt off on the table is mine.....of course). Bronson is the best oldest kid I could've asked for. Besides being Aleeya's favorite by FAR (she loves just laying on his chest and reaches all the time for him and gets mad when he doesn't kiss her goodbye in the morning), he's so helpful and his attitude of constantly wanting to do what's right and PLEASE me and Brooks is so refreshing. I love that kid.

Who'da Thunk?
For Bronson's b-day I asked him what color of cake he wanted.....meaning- what color should I dye the frosting and throw sprinkles on top. Then he went onto say how he wanted me to take green fruit snacks, melt them on the bottom, then chocolate, then white, then red. I told him fruit snacks don't really melt, so he told me I could just put them on top. Ummm, thanks (do you know how many bags I had to open?!?! It's okay though, the baby likes fruit snacks). Anyway, I didn't know if it would work or not or just turn out into gray mush. But go figure, you CAN layer chocolate cake mix, white (rainbow), then strawberry and they won't blend! It actually turned out kind of cool and Bronson was so proud of them. We frosted them with chocolate WITH the green fruit snacks on top. But knowing this opens up a LOT of ideas with making cakes!!!

Free Photobook
A friend told me about this deal to get a free photobook at :
http://mommysnacks.blogspot.com/2009/01/snack-time-free-photo-album-at-hoorray.html
It's from hooray.com. You have to purchase the 34$ one then put in the coupon code. It's free, all you pay is the shipping around $7.99. I do a photobook for the family scrapbook for each year (the kid's I still do by hand....which is why I'm behind), but I usually use snapfish.com or shutterfly.com. So this one will be a new one for me. But I do need to get the 2008 one done, and hey, it's free, so why not?

What? Tagged?
So I guess I've been "tagged" (these blog terms get funnier and funnier to me) by Nikki like in November....so my bad, but here we go. My first time being tagged, wish me luck with this husband one!
1) Where did you meet? Computer lab at Snow College (can it get any more romantic then that?!)
2) How long did you date before you got married? 13 months
3) How long have you been married? 7.5 years!
4) What is your favorite feature of his? His smile when he laughs.... I LOVE LOVE LOVE his laugh.
5) What is your favorite quality of his? He can make anyone feel comfortable and get away with saying anything! Not to mention making everyone laugh....including me and the kids!
6) Does he have a nickname for you? Let's see, "Presh" (precious), "BO" for "Body Odor", and "Fatty Fatty Two by Four" when I'm pregnant. But it's a good thing he calls me that, because if he DOESN'T then it means I AM getting fat. :)
7) What is his favorite food? anything I cook. He's a good sport.
8) What is his favorite sport? He's actually good at all of them. Wish I could find something I could beat him in.
9) When and where was your first kiss? My front door 2 weeks after we starting hanging out. It lasted MAYBE .7 of a second!
10) What is your favorite thing to do as a couple? Laugh and play games
11) Do you have any children? 4 and one and the way.
12) Does he have a hidden talent? Yep, you would never know he is the BEST tooth brusher for the kids EVER, which is why I allow him to expand that talent every night.
13) How old is he? 31...old fogey
14) Who said "I love you" first? I DID!!!! (with Mac waiting in the car) and after I said it, all he said was, "Thanks". I didn't hear it from him for at least another month.
15) What is his favorite type of music? Now, it's country (against his father's wishes)
16) What do you admire the most about him? He's the BEST dad ever and honestly I've never seen anyone more driven to ALWAYS do the right thing. It's exhausting sometimes.
17) Do you think he will read this? Heck no. He's soooo anti-blog.
I "tag" (there's that word again): Natalie, Jodi (come on, just do it!), Mac and Suzanne

A blessing in disguise
Last weekend we went to Raleigh on a temple/weekend trip. While Brooks was at the temple I guess the van didn't start. (We couldn't have gotten home nor could Brooks have contacted us and we couldn't pick him up anyway! Seriously, bad timing) But that's all I heard about it. So yesterday (Tuesday) I went to the gym with all four kids and after a hour workout tried to start the van and nothing happened. As I sat there in the van (pouring rain outside) praying that the van could at least get me home, I was overwhelmed in the thought of WHAT A BLESSING to have gotten stranded here. Seriously, how many times had we taken the van since last Friday?!? I knew the van wouldn't start that night so I just had to wait it out until Brooks got off work. So the kids went back inside, played, I went to Zumba class, then went outside to see if the van could be jumped. It didn't work but we eventually got a ride home. (Van is still there, but Brooks will run down today and look at it/fix it) It was actually kind of a little miracle of mercy and timing I was shown by Heavenly Father. There was no way with the problem (alternator) that we have it should've worked so many times since last Friday. I'm grateful for a Father who is mindful of my sanity!!!! :)
